Artist, Mark Schwalm-Bell is a graduate of Luther College
and a former retirement plan administrator and college wrestling coach. He has
been tattooing and piercing for nearly a decade. Mark’s work has been featured
in International Tattoo Art Magazine, Tattoo Flash Magazine, The Quad Cites Times, The Iowa City Press Citizen, as well as The River Cities Reader and has earned him a diverse and devoted
clientele, ranging from schoolteachers and soccer moms to members of the NFL.
A true passion for art and a heart-felt desire to support local artists as well as to make art more accessible to the public led to the formation of the Indigo Art Gallery.
In his spare time Mark enjoys spending time with family, travel, painting, drawing, and studying tattoo art and history.
